Melamine Foam for Sound Insulation ‘INSUmelfoam’ is a unique, flexible, non-fibrous open cell foam, possessing a combination of low weight, a Class ‘O’ non-flammable fire specification and good sound absorption properties. Produced from Melamine resins - a thermoset polymer, INSUmelfoam exhibits superior fire, temperature and chemical resistance.
Features:
- Ultra-low density (8 kg/m3 -11 kg/m3) and lightweight - Excellent sound absorption capability
- Non-fibrous three-dimensional filigree network structure, safe in any environment with high sound absorption capability
- CFC-free, Flexible with open cell structure - easy to cut and install
- Wide operating temperature (-200°C to +200°C) suitable for hot as well as cold insulation
- Low flammability - passes even the toughest UL 94 VO test
- Complies with the Class ‘O’ requirements of the building regulations when tested to BS 476: Part 6:1981 and Part 7:1987.
